And his strikes either side of the break saw him draw level with Leicester's Jamie Vardy on 19 at the top of the Premier League hotshot charts.
It's 22 for the season for Kane as Mauricio Pochettino's men made sure there was no hangover from the Europa League surrender in Dortmund on Thursday.
Tripping up against bottom-club Villa was absolutely unthinkable and they eventually got the bottom club against the ropes right on the stroke of half-time when Kane put them in front.
You couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Villa as they shuffled back to the dressing room at the interval.
