BARCELONA 6-0 SPORTING GIJON - AT THE NOU CAMP: Luis Suarez struck four times, three days after he last scored four times, as Barcelona routed Sporting Gijon to go back top of La Liga. They had been knocked down to third by Atletico and Real Madrid earlier in the day, but the Uruguayan hitman is in brutal form and Barcelona now too, lurching out of their mini-crisis firstly with the midweek 8-0 humiliation of Deportivo La Coruna and now this six-goal haul.
