WHAT A HERO

Welbeck to the rescue! Arsenal's comeback hero heads dramatic late winner to spark title charge and narrow gap to Leicester
Arsenal 2-1 Leicester: Danny Welbeck scores dramatic last-minute winner as Gunners edge
MARTIN SAMUEL AT THE EMIRATES STADIUM: The last time Danny Welbeck played for Arsenal, Leicester were 17th and one point off the relegation zone. That might explain it. Maybe he thought they still were. Not fearing Leicester or their superhuman resistance to the odds this season, Arsenal's absentee striker succeeded where so many had failed. He finally broke them down. Reduced to ten when Danny Simpson was sent-off after 54 minutes, Leicester stayed strong.  Yes, they conceded an equaliser from Theo Walcott in the 71st minute, erasing a first-half lead. Yet they were hanging on for a point and there is no shame in that at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal edged closer and closer, but Leicester looked as if they were going to fall over the line, just, exhausted but intact.
