fire Pochettino's men above Arsenal as rivals Man City fume after suspect penalty

On the day one juggernaut was derailed, or at the very least diverted, in north London, another one continued on its inexorable journey forwards here in east Manchester. This may not have been Leicester's day in the Barclays Premier League but, somehow, it transpired to be Tottenham's. In brilliant form recently, Tottenham were not the best team at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon. City, wounded by suggestions that they may no longer care to play for their outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini, were progressive, purposeful and dangerous for large parts of this contest.
