The Day of The Jackal: Frampton beats Quigg on points to unify world super-bantamweight titles after slow burner catches fire

Carl Frampton put on a master-class of smaller men's boxing to win the most tense fight of the year, if not the Fight of the Century candidate which Belfast, Manchester and the world so eagerly anticipated. Scott Quigg made a late charge for the knock-out he so desperately needed, one of which the Light Brigade would have been proud. It gave the roaring bi-partisan crowd in the Manchester Arena a star-burst of excitement to take to take to the pubs and the wine bars but that only partially disguised the reality of Frampton's superiority.
