The two Premier League giants meet in the FA Cup fifth round tomorrow and they could now be set to go head-to-head over the coveted Juventus midfielder who believes the Spaniard can take his game to an even higher level.
City baulked at Juventus’s £70m-plus asking price for the France international last year but will try again this summer when Guardiola takes over from Manuel Pellegrini.

Chelsea have long eyed Pogba as well, but the player has made no secret he is a huge admirer of the former Barcelona boss.
Pogba said: “All the players respect him. You only have to look at him and you want to learn from him. I’ve heard that he improves every player. He is a football icon.
“Right now I am still with Juventus, but clearly if you have chance to work with someone like him, you can only develop further.”
