Paris Saint-Germain equalled Nantes' all-time Ligue 1 record of 32 matches unbeaten as the champions moved a mammoth 24 points clear at the top of the table with 15 matches to play.
The capital club remained on course to go the whole campaign unbeaten thanks to a 2-0 win at Saint-Etienne on Sunday evening.  Les Verts, set up in a 5-2-3, played well but succumbed to two second-half Zlatan Ibrahimovic goals after Laurent Blanc switched to 3-5-2. Now on 19 league goals for the season, the Swedish superstar has netted an incredible 14 times in 12 competitive outings against Saint-Etienne.
Level now with Nantes' unbeaten run from July 1994 to April 1995, PSG have the opportunity to move clear on their own as record holders on Wednesday evening when they entertain Lorient at the Parc des Princes.
