Manchester United's hopes of reaching Champions League are fading by the week... and they can kiss goodbye to signing Bale and Neymar if they fail
When Manchester United supporters look back on Louis van Gaal's time in England the overriding emotion will be one of frustration. Van Gaal has some laudable achievements under his belt. He united a disenfranchised fanbase on arrival, has conjured performances from Wayne Rooney and blooded a raft of youngsters when other managers may have chosen square pegs to combat injuries rather than taking a leap of faith. Those successes, and dragging the club back into the Champions League, should be remembered when he inevitably departs. Yet irritation reins after this limp season. It is baffling that in a year none of the traditional 'big' clubs have mustered any sort of run United seem destined to finish fifth or worse.
DO YOU THINK THEY WILL MAKE TOP 4 ?
