PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are planning a £40million summer raid on Chelsea for striker Diego Costa.
The forward is almost certain to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this campaign if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League – and ideally he wants to go back to his old club Atletico Madrid.
But PSG, who face Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash tomorrow night at Stamford Bridge, have the cash reserves to outbid Atletico and offer the player a bumper wage package
.PSG, 2-1 up from the first of the tie in Paris, are long-time fans of Costa, who they tried to sign two summers ago before he joined Chelsea.
Key PSG front man Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract runs out at the end of this season and, though the Swede has insisted he wants to stay in Paris, there has been interest not only from the Premier League but the MLS.
