Kasey Palmer has scored more spectacular goals - many more in fact, as he seems to hold his own personal Goal of the Season competition every year - but probably none of greater importance. He was Chelsea's match-winner in Nyon as they retained their UEFA Youth League crown after a keenly-fought contest with Paris Saint-Germain.Palmer usually scores rockets and screamers, but this one was a little more basic. His shot just had enough velocity on it to spin past goalkeeper Remy Descamps and cross the line, but it settled the game and confirmed Chelsea’s status as Europe’s premier academy.
