The Super Eagles will now play the Pharaohs of Egypt at 5pm local time (4pm GMT) at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
Kaduna is currently experiencing hot and humid conditions and the weather forecast for the match suggests temperatures will soar around 34-38 degrees Celsius, which was a major factor in the change of time.
It is anticipated that the weather will be milder towards kick-off and during the game which will suit most of the players who are used to colder temperature in Europe.
The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium while Egypt will fly into Kaduna on Wednesday for the March 25 encounter.
The Pharaohs lead Group G of the Afcon 2017 qualifiers with six points.
Nigeria are second on four points while Tanzania and Chad, who face each other this weekend, are in third and fourth place respectively.
