But, thanks to a rejuvenated Cristiano Ronaldo, they managed to blow Athletic Bilbao away in a thrilling clash. Having played poorly against Granada Ronaldo needed to respond, and he did, with two goals and an assist, earning Madrid the three points and moving himself to the head of the top scorers chart in La Liga, now on 21 goals this season.
