ARSENAL SIGNS NIGERIA STARLET

Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali has signed a five-year contract, he has claimed.
Nwakali and team-mate Samuel Chukwueze were two of the stars of Nigeria’s Under-17 World Cup-winning side last year. Since the tournament they have both been strong linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
It appears that 17-year-old Nwakli has now finalised his switch to the Gunners.
He has given an interview in his homeland in which he revealed that he had recently returned from London having put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
Nwakli told allnigeriasoccer: “I just came back from London, I have signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
“So many teams were interested in me but it has been my dream at a tender age to play for Arsenal.”
The youngster is currently on the books of the ASJ/Diamond Academy, who are set for a £2m fee.
The report claims that Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham United were also keen on the youngster after his Golden Ball-winning achievements at the Under-17 World Cup.
And his agents are said to have rejected approaches from Sporting Lisbon, Olympiacos and Udinese before the Arsenal deal was agreed.
